In the past, the church cemetery was an integral part of the life of a parish, but with increased urbanization and space limitations this opportunity is no longer practical. To offer a modern equivalent - one that provides both convenience and comfort - Church of the Holy Communion has
developed a memorial garden and columbarium, located on the north side of the property in a courtyard bounded by the nave on the east, the Blaisdell Building on the south and the Greenwood Building on the west. There are two options for the interment (burial) of ashes: the brick walls
(columbarium) designed to hold urns; and gardens for the placement of ashes directly into the ground. In addition, there are various opportunities for gifts or memorials.
