Ministry - Prayer Shawls The
Funeral Checklist
Help us help
you by making your wishes known
"The
death of a member of the church should be reported as soon as possible,
and arrangements for the funeral should be made in consultation
with the Minister of the Congregation." (The Book of Common
Prayer, p. 490)
This way the date and time of the service can be secured
and coordination with the clergy who have been caring for
the deceased or who will officiate at the funeral is insured.
We ask that other funeral plans or arrangements be made
only after such a consultation with the parish clergy.
So we might
care more intentionally for your family, friends or loved ones,
there is a new Church of the Holy Communion Funeral Checklist form
you may complete and keep on file in our office.
Questions include:
where you would like the service to take place, what lessons or
hymns you'd prefer, how you would like memorials to be designated,
and so forth.
If you would
like to update your existing form or complete a new one, please
download, print, and mail the form below to Mark
Rutenbar.
