The Reading Life
This is Holy Communion’s monthly book club! Every first Tuesday a group gathers to discuss a new book – mostly fiction, but a little non-fiction along the way. Janie Morris and Sharon Fargo facilitate the conversation, and anyone who’s read the book is welcome. Bring your lunch and a friend! Drop-ins welcome!
First Tuesday each month, 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Knitting Ministry
Our Knitting Ministry meets to prayerfully knit shawls for those in need of prayer and comfort in the parish and beyond. The group is open to all, from knitting neophytes to purling pros. Bring your lunch!
Third Tuesdays each month, 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.

Poetry Group
God speaks to us in many ways: scripture, nature, our lives, our friends, and often most strikingly through poetry – God seems to love metaphor! Join the poetry reading group as we read contemporary poetry and listen for the voice of God.
First Tuesdays each month, 5:45 – 7:00 p.m.

 

Wednesdays

Study Group with Katherine Bush
A mid-week examination of how our weekday lives can integrate with our spiritual lives (plus, it’s a break from all the busyness). Connect with friends on the journey and learn with Katherine Bush. Drop-ins are welcome; however, your commitment to as many of the sessions as possible will make this offering more meaningful for everyone.

Women’s Spirituality
Starting with Linda Douty’s popular book, How Can I See the Light When It’s So Dark?, Connie Cruthirds leads a lively discussion group, but expect to do more than just talk! Hands-on activities and wide-ranging experiences are the earmark of these seasonal offerings.

Thursday Morning Bible Study with Mimsy Jones
Focusing currently on the Old Testament, this group continues its Biblical overview. Newcomers are welcome to join in the journey! Drop-ins are welcome; however, your commitment to as many of the sessions as possible will make this offering more meaningful for everyone.

Friday Morning Men’s Bible Study

Consider being a part of this innovative and individualized way to share the faith journey. CHC is launching many new 4-6 person groups, primarily to increase discipleship and accountability among those involved. Groups will be organized around convenient times and locations.
